    The Opera Camerata of Washington will present their new Artistic Director, Maestro Gregory Buchalter, also an assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, on Saturday, July 14, 2001 at the opulent Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.  Under the baton of Maestro Buchalter will be the Opera Camerata Orchestra with Sondra Radvanovsky, who recently thrilled Metropolitan Opera audiences as Leonora in Verdi's Il Trovatore and Dominican tenor Francisco Casanova, whose stunning performance as Ismaele in Verdi's Nabucco, also at the Metropolitan Opera, earned him rave reviews by the New York Times.

    This special opera performance will be followed by a meet-the-artists reception.  Tickets are $20 - $50 and will become available after May 20th.  Special group rates for seniors and students are available.  Tickets will also be available in-person at the Warner Theatre Box Office (13th Street, between E & F Sts., N.W.), and at all Ticket Master Ticket Centers including Tower Records, Kemp Mill Music, and Hecht's.
